Mine says that I haven't yet figured out how to access my own profile or how to place an image in my avatar

EDIT: this edit says I've figured it out and that it wasn't that hard and that I like Bob Marley

Go to google, or any other place you think you can find a cool image.
Download it on your computer.
Now, click on "private messages". Right top of this site.
Click "Edit Avatar" under settings and options
Click the "use custom avatar" and upload the cool image you just found on google.

My turn to sound noobish: what's the difference between an avatar and a profile picture?
